Welcome here to the insect nerds
I think this a Large Crane Fly (family Tipulidae) and in the subfamily Ctenophorinae. They are large and often look ichneumon- or wasp-like. The body is often polished and bright, or coloured black with large yellow, orange or red markings. Males have comb-like antennae, so we have a female here.

Re: Insect or Invertebrates Identification
Whew! I just went back over this entire thread and noted which of mine are "pending" - will try to sort through them, send pics to experts, etc - and/or write them up as Family or Genus ID'd only, with the EXPERT Klippies approval in the next few days-ish.
(Our family Christmas party is Saturday, so am busy with that - so many napkins to fold into Christmas tree shapes , Preparation H gag gift to wrap for the "pain in the butt" member , etc etc., so will have more time next week.)
Happy Holidays fellow bug-huggers .

Cute
These things are often on social media and people say they are monkey moths or tiger moths, but this can be 100% wrong
