They always move so shaky that you fear they might fall over .

We had a good meeting for about an hour in Hazeyview and then carried on our way to Orpen .

Arriving at Orpen we checked in and were allocated a unit just past all the construction being done on the first 4 units .This was the first time we were staying at Orpen having done Tamboti and Maroela before .
Image

We took a walk to the fence and enjoyed the view .
Image

Image

After settling in we went out for our first drive . Close to the Tamboti turnoff this eagle was watching the open plain for movement ...
Image

A hornbill was hoping about looking for a snack.
Image

This Giraffe was ensuring this bush did not grow too quickly .
Image

Driving through a section with trees we could hear the birds all alarm calling and searching through the trees we eventually found the cause
Image

This stork must have had young as it was not leaving its nest with the raptor around .
Image

A Monkey with a baby seemed to be on its own as well .
Image

A bit further on we spotted our first Impala Lamb of the year .
Image

It was still quite new and not sure footed at all mom and baby were also not very happy with us stopping and ran off across the road even though we were quite a way off.
Image

After turning around to start heading back to camp we did find this pair and the Lamb looked more sure and slightly older
Image

While on the way back a staff member passed us then put on his hazard lights and excitedly pointed out the window for us to look to the side of the road and there was a Honey badger running into the bushes .
Image

The light was getting very dark by now and we saw the night shift starting to arrive .
Image

Our last sighting of the drive was this Hare
Image

While taking the photo another vehicle pulled up right in-between us and it and asked what we were looking at :-? When we pointed out the Hare they laughed that they had not seen it .

Our sightings were not over for the night though as we had these naught visitors during the night
Image

Image

Bit confused why they have such open accessible bins when they know they are about the camp ...

A very pleasant drive! Just what you need after a business talk ;-)
