Flowers should be present by now. Go back and check now and then again in August to see the beautiful fruits 0/0 lol

Meanwhile we have to identify the beautiful small tree without flowers and fruits which can be done looking carefully at the leaves and their arrangement - you have captured these characters very well this time

- The leaves are simple and clustered
- The clusters are on the branches and on short side branches (not at the end of branches), clusters not opposite
- Leaves 3-veined from the base or just above
- Leaves are not attached by an obvious leaf stalk = petiole very short
- No spines
- Flowers grow in clusters of 1 to 4 from on short stalks from the leaf axils (or on old wood) only after good rains (Nov - Dec)

Hint: Baboons and nyala love the large and showy fruits (also monkeys - this is another clue). The fruit is also collected to make curios from dried smooth and woody shells of the large fruit. O**
