I'm really green for that Corinne sighting. Very nice :-0

Love the barn owl too. And here I was thinking it had been a once of mistake that they had nested in that well.
But they obviously are regulars there  From now on I will always check when up there for a toilet break. \O

Your camp home looks great \O

We left for our afternoon drive at about 3pm, and headed up the Nossob River.

It was probably still too early in the afternoon to expect to see too many animals wandering around in the heat, but anyway, we bumbled on as far as Kij Kij.

We didn’t need to go any further, as the trip back to Twee Rivieren takes about an hour, and we were quite content to sit at the waterhole to see what would arrive.

We didn’t need to wait, because waiting for us in the shade of the direction board at the intersection to the lower dune road were these two lionesses.

We decided to sit it out and see if they did anything

A PCG came to the waterhole to drink, and after a while, the one lioness followed suit.

The one stayed where she was

Whilst the other drank.

She then returned back to her spot in the shade

With time eventually running out, we left the couple and returned to camp.

We were greeted with this sunset on the way home.

Not too shabby a first day in the park.
