Re: Social distancing in the Kgalagadi Oct/Nov 2020
We arrived at Kij Kij to find the two ladies which we had left there the previous evening still in attendance; the only difference was that they had been joined by a large adult male
They were fast asleep in the middle of the road
So we carried on to Melkvlei
The only sighting of note was that of another Bateleur eagle. This time a bit closer to the road.
After some coffee at the picnic spot, we retraced our steps back to the lions
tbc..

We got back to Kij Kij and to the lions.
The one lioness had decided that the shade of a tree next to the road was much more comfortable than lying in the road itself
It wasn’t long before the second lioness came to the same solution.
Or else she was just looking for some attention
What followed was cuteness overload.
