We have been living in Centurion for the last 15 years. We always drive past this park but never went there to walk around.
That changed today as we decided to visit there and go for a morning walk
A map of the park
The entrance is free but one needs to check in at security
The parking area
As it was our first time we were not sure which pathways to take
We had a wonderful time there. We saw the Blesboks. The only antelope they have
Think we will do this every weekend now

Re: Bishop bird park
The Bishop Bird Nature Area is named after the southern red bishop. The nature area is situated less than 1 km north of the Rooihuiskraal Historical Terrain and forms part of its rich cultural history. This nature area is 19 ha in size and the site serves as a place where people can escape from the everyday hustle and bustle of the city, and relax in the tranquility and peacefulness of natural surroundings. The vegetation in the nature area is classified as Bankenveld and consists of open grass areas with groups of indigenous trees. Bishop Bird Nature Area is a birdwatcher's paradise and numerous species of birds have been recorded in the area. Other animals such as blesbok, mongooses, hedgehogs, bushbabies and reptiles can be found in the area and some of them can be seen while hiking.

Re: Bishop bird park
Try to go early morning or late afternoon in order to see the birds. It is not exactly birding season now
Anyway any time is good for a bit of fresh air away from home
