There was a leopard!!

Day 1 Part 3:

The item in the riverbed:

Frewells: "I think that may be a massive turd!?"

DW: "What are a tid?"

GB: "No way! It's a dead hyena!"

Mambas: "Lion...dead...male...maybe...too dark to see...turd too..maybe..." (He talks like that :O^ )

RP: "That would have to be the biggest pile of s%^t in the history of Kruger! =O: "

DW: "Aha, so tid are shit!?"

RP: "No...you are not allowed to say that here! "

DW: "Sorry...so t$%d are shit!?"

RP: " 0*\ "

We made a point of checking on the "tid" on our way out 3 days later...and it was still there...MAGNIFICENT EFFORT, I must say! ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ X#X

Anyway, on to the next loop! \O

Impala! (Dewi please confirm! -O- ):

O Fortuna had sped off in search of more leopards...Goldenboy is a very impatient fellow...

DW: "Oooh, look! The grass has been mowed!"

Image

RP: "No, it hasn't! 0= "

Dw: "I have a lawn, and are knowing mowing when I see it! ;-) "

Image

Now if you have been viewing this insert, you would have noticed that Barry the hippo has been there all the time, and not changed his clothes once!

RP: "It are...is the hippo that creates the lawn effect! I'm sure there is one nearby! O:V "

DW: "Ja! I sees it! You is a brilliant bushknower!"

Image

So on to the end of the loop, to find one of my favourite spots! O Fortuna had once again politely parked so any other visitor could share the view...

Spot the animal! ^0^

Hey RP, I thought you were the one for the great research. -O-

Impala were once seperated into several subspecies, such as melampus, johnstoni etc, but recent molecular studies suggest a single species with regional affiliations and genetic differentation between those found to the North and to the South of Tanzania.

Common Impala Aepyceros melampus are indeed the antelope depicted in your photograph, along with a White-backed Vulture Gyps africanus.

Sorry, in a bit of a rush, will try to reply in more detail on your next question. O**
