BH - hold on to the bucks for now....

Experience tells me the market will take a dive before it rises again,
and it might not rise that high again.... -O -O

This very lazy puddy tat was up next.

Image

We weren't sure of he was supposed to be the chaperone, but a very short space away from him, it sounded like another pair was mating while this one slept. Unfortunately, they were very well concealed and we caught only fleeting glimpses of them.

So after watching this lazy thing for a while, and deciding he wasn't going to do anything, we headed up towards Tshokwane.

A large herd of ellies crossed the road and these two walked along the road. We had now, within seconds seen two of the big 5 having seen them once already. We decided to try and see if we could see them again before reaching camp. O/\ O\/ O\/

This Kudu bull intrigued me.

At first he was sitting down and after watching him for some considerable time, he got up.

And a while before that this

made it very difficult to try and get a mug shot of.

While a short time later, this fine aminal made it three out of five.

Halfway through catching up I was going to ask if you saw something else than cats,
but I see you did. -O

You do Whatsapp? 0' 0- ^0^

Hunny, just my kinda girl - I want to adopt cute little critters all the time. Even if the grow up at some point. =O:

This was one of those awesome days in Kruger where I was the one doing most of the Whatsapp KNP sightings posts. O/\ O/\

It upset the Crazy one something awful. O\/ O\/ O\/ O\/

Those dwarf Mongoose are just the sweetest little things. I think my African Gray would be a bit miffed if I came home with one of those though.

Don't be going anywhere. There are still some astounding sightings to come. Just got to get some IO after a big ride this morning. (We went racing on Kyalami race track. I still have a looooong, long way to get to the 1 min 30's that the F1 guys do it in. :o0ps: )

Last weekend we did 103 km and Sunday after next (18th Nov) is cycle challenge Sunday. O\/

Yep.

You were upsetting me bigtime.

Now. However.

It is time for revenge.

By now we were pretty close to Berg en Dal and just after we turned off the H3, I looked towards a tree that looked different.

Slammed on the brakes and scanned with the binocs. Yep, the tree definitely had a tail One that it didn't have this morning when we went by.

One minute he was there, and the next he was going, going, gone. At first I was foncused (more so than I always am). I took the shots and then asked for the binocs and it wasn't there any more. I had seen it in the bincos, reversed to get a shot, he was there in one, gone the next. I checked with the far lookers and it was no more. Had to go back to the pickshas to be sure I wasn't seeing spots.

By the time we got back to camp, the day was done and what a perfect one it was too. The big 5 twice in one day. A first for me and a first for Hunny too. Alas, this was to be our last night and tomorrow would see us packing to get back to "civilisation". The more I visit Kruger, the more I am convinced that civilisation is within the border and not outside. Until the hotels come of course. Then it will be a three ringed circus.
