After a while, and after having a nice long chat with our neighbours at Polentswa, Gavin and Christine, we decided to bumble up north for a bit

We went as far as Liejersdraai before having a coffee break and turning around
Nothing was happening, anywhere
Polentswa water hole was the best spot to be

Friday 3 June 2022

In June the”park gates” open at 7.30am
We took this photo as we were driving of Polentswa towards the main road at 7.35, meaning that we left camp right on time.

Shortly thereafter, we were at the waterhole awaiting the morning’s action

Possible prey perched in a tree

It wasn’t to be

While we were sitting at the waterhole, Debbie spotted movement on two sides
One a car (Gavin and Christine arriving at the waterhole)
And two a few heads peeping over the long grass on the western side of the parking area

Look there!!!

And then some revving of cars followed (the doves were history by this point)
Three cheetahs were on the ridge on the far western side of Polentswa
