Re: Rooiputs
Proof that you have to be careful when going to the Loo at Rooiputs after Dark. We heard activity throughout the night around our tent and sure enough the next morning as I was packing my stuff into the Bakkie as Jane carried on Sleeping my Head Torch picked up 2 sets of Lion Footprints all over the Campsite No 3 our site and the only one occupied that night so we were on our own. @ 06h55 I slowly went down the hill to wait at the road for 07h00 = legal time to travel(No opening gates there !!) but never made it there as I found the culprits just over 100 metres from sleeping Jane so I took this with ambient light and turned around and went to fetch Jane in her PJ's and 5 mins later when we got back they were gone but found them drinking at the trough in the River Bed ..My Salty Braai Grid had probably made them thirsty Needs a Click

All that is not a language I speak or understandPeter Betts wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 10:22 amThanks Alf ..Yes that was a Tamron 150-600mm F5 - F6.3 G2 Lens . Sadly I had to sell it to move to Mirrorless as its an F Mount Lens and you need Z Mount Lenses to work on Nikon Mirrorless so its now 70-200 Z lens with 2x convertor = 400mm at long end Set to DX (1.5 x Crop Factor in Camera = 600mm so many ways to get to 600mm and I get the best 70-200 f2.8 ever made as my close in Wild Life Lens so cant wait to get out there and take my first ever Wild Life shots with Mirrorless Tech and optics
Next trip to the bush??
