Yes, Sis, you do need to get very close, but if you're patient and don't make sudden moves, it's not as hard as some of the other insect types. Also, they're quite large, relatively speaking, so you don't have to get as close as you do with say, flies, ants, etc.
Continuing with the Florida dragonflies, a few close-ups, and then a few Damselflies.
