Maroela, situated close to the Timbavati River. For campers only and a few km from the Gate.

worth a note about Maroela ...
the regular invasions of the honey badgers have come to an end. I was speaking to folks in December who visit Maroela every month or so, and they say the honey badgers have stopped scrounging in the camp. The new badger proof bins seemed to have made the difference! Those steel bins with the twist up and sideways were apparently not badger proof, but these box bins with recyclable and non recyclable seem to have done the trick ^Q^
Now we need the same to be done in Tamboti!!

The ablution block is neat and in the men's side there are 2 toilets, 3 showers(water pressure a bit low but ok) and 4 basins

There is a look out point on the river side

The communiall kitchen area, there are 2 freezers for campers without freezers for the cold stuff

This is a nice quiet camp with lots of nigh time noises and animal activities outside
