The facade of St. Petersburg looks quite nice. ;-)

It is impressive, if you manage to look at it as a kind of museum. It has all been restored and with the tourism that it attracts, I am sure that they will get the money back with interests. Even Catherine's amber room has be re-constructed 0*\ Amber from roof to floor in beautiful designs and colours, but... O/ During the Soviet Union they stored potatoes in the church in the first pic and that one is a real master piece of art and history.

Unfortunately no photos from my first travel experiences they had not invented the camera. They all drowned when our cellar was flooded :-(
