I don't have many pics from this road, but this has to be my best sighting there...
Lets see what you visitors to the south of the park have got.

Flavour of the Month - April 2013: S3 Albasini Road & Mestel Dam
Sometimes it’s not until you don’t see what you want to see, that you truly open your eyes.
Flavour of the Month - April 2013: S3 Albasini Road
The S3 Albasini Road is named after João Albasini who was an important trader in the region, operating a chain of stores that supplied transport riders moving between Lydenburg and Delagoa Bay (Maputo). The S3 runs through sourveld, it heads north from the H1-1 near Numbi Gate, passing the Mestel Dam, after you cross the S1 (Doispane Road) the vegetation changes to mixed thornveld, reaching the Sabie River it follows the course through mixed thornveld and riverine vegetation.

Sprocky - this is a beautiful picture...
I travelled this road only once and except for an ellie in the distance,
I saw this mongoose. I was ever so excited my first one in the wild.

Nice road.
Ddid never see much of this road in the sence of wildlife but love the true feel of nature here as the road runs next to the river.
Always so nice and green.

From Nigel Dennis - Where to watch game in the Kruger National Park:
Head towards Paul Kruger Gate and turn left on the S3 gravel road. This normally quiet road that runs alongside the the Sabie River is a prime route, and is consistently productive for elephant, lion and leopard. The last few kilometres of the S3 are among the best places to see white rhino in the entire park.

The road goes all the way down to Numbi Gate, past Mestel Dam!

Then I don't have any pics...a very quiet road as far as the Sabie River section is concerned, but utterly pretty and restful!
The Southern Stretch down to Numbi has provided nice sightings over the years, including lion and cheetah, and a few sable!
There is also a "fairy forest"...when a certain species of creeper takes over all the tees on a 2km stretch during some years in the drier months...very interesting!
