I also find Skukuza can be peaceful at night and the bungalow better than the safari tents

April seems to work with the dog sightings We have been 3 times in April and found the dogs 10 times so keep going back in April

Skukuza

Up early again to do a round trip to Lower Sabie. We headed down the H1-1 to get onto the H3, then onto the Bume road, and the H4-2 to LS.

First up was this birdie. Is it a Brown Snake Eagle?



A Golden Orb in the morning light.



Some horns in the grass. -O



Somewhere along the route, some grey blobs in the grass.



On the Bume road we found our first hyenas...two young ones who didn’t seem too sure of us!





A Bateleur doing its morning ablutions.

A tell-tale sign. Unfortunately we didn’t find the sign-maker!

That hyena is a cutie pie. Like the bateleur and the eagle as well.
I think, you're right on the brown snake eagle. But better wait till
