If I don't get 100% with this quizzie, can I please have 36% for effort... -O
Kalahari is also known as 'Peace Park' and the name is derived from San language meaning 'Place of thirst'
After internet searching and map analysing, I decided to leave Nossob... didn't feel right.
I am now near to Gharagub (not far from Unions End) and it says dunes one side and beautiful scenery on the other

I know its a difficult one which only Dewi can answer but by giving out clues I am sure you and any other Wildie can get the answer. You not to far off with the 4x4 trail but the point of interest much further south. This spot is in the park on the South African side. This means it cannot be Kalahari Red Dune. Your second reply contains part of the trails name (the one you decided to leave) but its not Gharagab.
Third clue: The trail either runs from south to north starting near Kij-Kij waterhole the one month and alternates from north to south starting near Polentswa (this should be easy and next clue will be on the waterhole) (White to Black and Black to White)
Tip. There are only 4 point where the trail runs near the tourist routes and two where it crosses another 4x4 route and a dune route.

I normally have the maps out with a highlighter and travel with each trip

I am not in a park – but a well travelled area in the Lowveld.
At first I stood in the pool under the fall of water and got drenched to the bone, icy cold water, refreshing to the point where I lifted my arms to the sky and felt as though I could fly.
Then the muddy climb started and around the waterfall until I was behind the drop. Breathtaking - this force of water that cannot be stopped – spreading out like a gown. Except for gushing water sounds, it is totally silent.
Where am I standing? (I can't sit.... it's too muddy -O )
