Did you notice the jackal in your first pic in front of the waterbuck?

Fantastic that you got to see a brown hyena! We've only seen 2 in Pilanesberg but never managed to get a pic!

I for one did not notice it

Hi Flutterby. Yes we did. We also got photos of him walking towards the waterbuck. Thought we might see a waterbuck kill.

We have been told that elephant love chewing on the burnt branches as the sap inside caramelizes from the heat and that they love it.
Can anyone confirm this?

The blackie and the brownie alone are great sightings, but then you got some very special two in one sightings on top of it

I would like to make the suggestion that they make it an overnight hide.

I think they said that there was insurance - but how much. I know Heinrich Neumeyer, the leopard whisperer of Pilanesberg, is asking for everyone to submit their photos of leopards. They will then publish a calendar and all proceeds will go to the Mankwe Hide rebuild fund.
