I have never seen a little bee-eater :-(

Four hornbills going to a funeral O** They are such funny birds, without knowing it lol

Also the barn owls are not kidding ;-) They are quite small, which is difficult to make out in a photo.
Thanks Lis. ;-) Yes, the hornbills are very strange birds! lol I never realised barn owls were so small until I saw my first one at Pilanesberg.

The klippie was near the end of the Salitje road. ;-) If you snooze, you lose.

12 June, Lower Sabie & Croc Bridge

At the Vurhami bridge we could see a lot of cars parked overlooking the dam so we decided to take a look. On the sand road two giraffe were having quite a go at each other. They were a little close for our lenses. O**

There was a lion couple lying on the other side of the water and they were staring at something quite intently. -O-

They weren't doing too much else so we left them to it and headed back to camp.

The bridge from the other side. ;-)

There were plenty of bushbuck in the camp, but this one was on the wrong side of the fence.

Our afternoon drive up the S28 and back on the H4-2 yielded nothing! We had pasta for dinner which was a nice change from all the meat we'd had.

Nice to see a couple of the Vurhami pride... they seem to be around a lot lately. And fighting giraffe - perhaps they were the same 2 that we saw :-? =O: =O:
