Action at the hide with all the birds and then some lion action too
We were happy overall

- Although must say the S28 was extreme quiet

A great variety again, Pumbaa!
I like the gymnastic dragonflies!
And hot lions at a kill!
Always do love the different colours of the dragonflies
No, it is simply slobber

and as it was already late many people started their afternoon drive others came back from their drives and it was again a great come and go and as we got a couple of shots we left also as we were already the whole day in the car and we were craving for our veranda
but not now as when we turned into the tar road more cars parked on the road side and we thought they were looking at the white backed vultures that were hanging around in some trees as to from where we parked we did not see anything else
but suddenly we noticed a movement and more lions appeared and were about to walk farer away from the road
but luckily had obviously compassion towards us and settled down close together to wait for the night to come.
Now it was in fact time to return back to camp and so we enjoyed the rest of the evening with a cold one and with another fantastic braai on our veranda.
Monday, 11. February 2019 – Crocodile Bridge – Biyamiti
Roads we drifted along: H4-2 – S28 – S137 – S130 – H4-2 – H-4-1 – S21 – S114 – S23 – S114 – S139 – S25
Today was again moving day although we overall would stay in that area as Biyamiti was our next camp and although we waited longingly no bush baby appeared on our verandah that morning so we left a bit disappointed but we soon were compensated by another lion sighting right at the beginning of the S28 -
Same looked like our dam lions and also the two we saw last evening on the tar road

although today they laid nearly exactly opposite the other two lions at the kill we also could observe yesterday excessively.
They laid flat on the ground and were very lazy
and although they stayed right next to the road in the grass
the car in front of us did not notice them and carried on.
In the beginning both of them laid flat but with the beginning traffic jam
they got more active and at least one of them stayed upright
and although not much happened
from the lion side we at least were allowed to take a couple of shots.
to be continued.....

So you stumble from one lion sighting into the next, basically.
Well, at least if one disregards the night of sleep in between
Very cool
