Always something on this road especially late afternoon just before gate closing time
And ellies sometimes like to play games , like the time that one held us " hostage " and would not allow us to pass Everytime we approached , he stepped into the road , and we had to back up , while he continued to graze and munch grass , but all the time keeping a watch on us with a " wooden " eye

We have seen this poor elephant with a very short trunk. We felt so sorry for him.
Some places we found the bush very thick and you get surprised by something large right next to you
Then you get these short routes where you drive back to the river and we were lucky to see these
At the same lookout point we saw this rock
Not sure if someone placed that rock there or made the markings right there.

Next trip to the bush??

Bransby Aston Key was appointed to National Park Board of Trustees as Wildlife Protection Society Representative until his untimely death on 3 April 1949 aged 42 years. The Key family frequently visited Shingwedzi and in 1956 the Wildlife Protection Society (today Wesa) a cottage bearing his name was opened. It is still in use today in A-circie of the camp.
