You know, I keep stopping for each PCG to see if there is a jackal and a badger around as well. But so far no luck!
I'd love to watch that interaction one day. But last year we had the PCG following a Cape cobra that was busy
flushing mice out of abandoned weaver nests. I'm not sure about their kind of relationship there but assume it
must be the same as with the badger because if a mouse falls down and the goshawk grabs it, it must just mean
that the snake wasn't quick enough to swallow? -O-

There's nothing really "wrong", RP, just would like to get an actual interaction where something is flushed out and the PCG/Jackal etc. grabs it, rather than just standing around. Sorta boring without any action. Maybe next time! ;-)

One of our best moments in the Kgalagadi on our last trip - watching the interaction between a gabar goshawk and a martial eagle:

Seen on 05/11/2014 just a few kays south of Urikaruus.

The goshawk was clearly not impressed with the presence of the eagle and kept swooping over its head, causing a racket.
The eagle had enough eventually and left.
