Sorry to say, nan, the kitty didn't make it according to the writer.
Just imagine your luck to see such a small AWC and then it's taken by lions.

Re: Unusual or Interesting Sightings in the Kgalagadi
It is going to take forever to complete our recent trip to the KTP so posting this here.
01 November was our last day in the Park. We drove from Urikaruus to Samevloeeing and did not see anything exciting. We decide to drive to Leeudril and found the Top Cat Gang north of Leeudril. We turned around and headed for Twee Riveiern and about one kilometer south of Leeudril we heard a commotion. It was at the site of the cape fox den thatI wrote about here
I st0pped the car, we could see and hear a cape Fox screaming and a jackal standing in the background. Then from behind the bush a honey badger appeared with another cape fox on his tail
We then clicked that the honey badger was trying to dig out a fox cub from the den, the foxes were at him and the opportunist jackal waits for anything that may come his way. No time to worry about light and how you parked. The action was on Sharifa's side and she was getting the shots. I tried to get some video footage round and pass her as it illustrateswhat was gooing on.

One cub loses his nerve and runs down the road

Another cub comes out of one entrance and hot foots it to another entrance to the den

Honey badger has had enough, expression says, "I'm out of her"

The foxes safely got the cub that ran down the road back to the den

Duke
I'm speechless - what an extraordinary sighting you got there!!!
The Cape foxes surely were around in numbers this time and kept us entertained well.
We had a similar experience with one of them a few km down the road from Uri when we returned for our second stay there.
A fox was causing a racket intendly looking at a bush. We also thought there might be a honey badger in there but found out
it was something else. Will post my short video and some blurds tonight.
