That is a tricky analogy, okie...why complain about canned lion hunting then, as domestic food animals are caged and killed?

I suppose when it happens in the wild it is how it's meant to be!

I don't know if people are generally fascinated, but it is not part of the human daily world, so in this respect maybe some feel attracted to the daily intimate world of the animals, which is new to them. This video is not very crude only very close up.

I don't particularly like seeing the actual kill but the hunt can be very exciting.

I have never seen one, so I do not know how I would react.

I have always shed a few tears after seeing a kill.

Yes indeed . Seeing the actual hunt in action is exhilarating , just like a competitive race between tow people , or horses , or a nail biting rugby game
But then comes the kill which finishes it - the winner takes it all , and it may seem cruel , or whatever , but that is nature
But that should also be the end of it , and that is my point .
In the video footage above , you do not really see the hunt

Just momentarily a stalking lioness , then another half-second of waterbuck , and then , a lot of camera=shake , followed by two minutes of struggling and subsiding by the waterbuck

I agree, not nice to see.
