Yup, happens in all families.
Usually starts off with something minor….like…who ate the last of the biltong?…. And then it all kicks off from there (0!)

We regularly see security on the road...
Perhaps it’s safer now?
Since the incident, I see on social media that using Numbi is strongly discouraged

Momprins and I returned in September...it was a topsy-turvy last-minute trip as she had had a medical episode... :-(

But we borrowed Dwarf's vehicle, as she had taken the bus, and off we went!

It rained, so we went straight in at Numbi...no traditional brunch... @#$

q.jpg
So instead we went to the Wimpy for brunch...nice but not the same...

I decided to go for a solo evening drive in the rain, around the inner Faai, and at the first Faai turnoff I saw a Jeep Jockey parked on the other side of the river, so took a chance and headed that way!

A good choice! :-0

q1.jpg

There were about 7 lion at a distant wildebeest kill and dotted around..

Eventually one approached a bit nearer...

q2.jpg

It was too dark for pics, but great bino views, one memorable one was the male shaking his head with raindrops flying off the mane in a plume! ^Q^

He would not face me... 0*\

q3.jpg
Eventually back to camp in good spirits...to face braaiing with wet wood as normal... 0:

Next morning the Outer Faai loop, with Momprins! 0/0

At the crossroads at Manung we watched a gymnogene ravishing a tree looking for food, one can just see it...still too dark.. :o0ps:

q4.jpg

Amazing the greenery, after the first rains and change of season! This would all have been black and burned a few weeks before!

q5.jpg

And a new thing for us, I think, hippo at the second Faai crossing! O/\

Isn't Masorini your usual place for brunch? ;-)

Pfui! Bad weather :-( Not easy to see the gymnogene or the hippo O**

The rain at the right moment does miracles.
