Mel wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 12:28 pm The "normal" sightings are well worth it in the golden hours in the morning or the late afternoon
On our last trip we had to waste so much of that precious time because we didn't find anything at all 0*\
Thanks Mel, I know the feeling

We left for the afternoon drive, the pressure was now getting to SG as she had not seen a cat in 4 days, Me I was getting photographic withdraw syndrome as up to now I had only taken about 200 photo's :-( :-( O/ O/

Going north we spotted A puffy

Just past Bedinkt we where told by a friendly chap that there was a lion on the side of the road. Asking how far he looked at his hand held GPS and said about 5KM =O: =O: O/ O/ What he forgot to say is that his distance was the direct path to the lion. well after 5km no lion, we decided to push on driving slow and checking every bush both sides to find this cat, 10km on we found it lying under a bush.

Turning around we headed back having broken the dry spell for SG

Only 200 photos... well, I can relate to that as too 0-

5 km looks more like the way into the bush where the lioness was lying low lol 0*\

I like that springbok wading in the water shot! ^Q^
