This road is just under 9kms long and is probably one of the busiest roads in the park. However, there have been many great sightings along this road.

It is also full of speeding trucks and delivery vehicles

A popular road.

It is a simple access road from Kruger Gate (yellow circle) to the city, but is never far from the Sabie River in an extremely high-density game area!

A late afternoon sighting in April 2013. We were heading back to Skukuza and found these wild dogs just before gate-closing time.

Found out that the road was tarred by SANParks in the mid 1970s (It is mostly the eastern tip of the old S1 Doispane gravel road), after the completion of the high-water bridge at Kruger Gate!
The rest of Doispane was tarred much later, 1990s, after the completion of Phabeni gate.

Doesn't say if it was dead or alive.
