This is one of the first camps in Kruger (1930). It is in a diverse scenic area, from riverine vegetation to mountainous terrain to rolling plains. Game can be scarce as with much of the south, although animals congregate on the Crocodile River during the dry season.
Drawbacks include a view over sugar cane farms to the south, and a limited road selection around the camp.
What to look for:
White rhino, zebra
Marula tree
Fish Eagle
From this weekend:
The campsite runs behind the bungalows, all along the fence!
Some nice trees, and enough power points. Maybe 10 campsites, depending on how things pan out?
A lovely lawn, and view of the Croc River...lots of camps are losing their lawns, unfortunately!
The huts are neat and renovated a few years ago. Utensils and bathrooms included, as well as aircon.
The communal kitchen is not really necessary for dishwashing etc. (You can leave your dirty dishes on the table outside...

) There are actually two "kitchens", one building with an oven and the other a lapa with hotplates. (Both with sinks)
Also a large communal ablutions building.
