Love those cars! ;-)

One of many, many braais in Kruger.

My dad very seldom wore a shirt in the old days in Kruger, but for some reason he decided that a denim Stetson was the right thing to wear!! :-? :O^

Image

Another nice tusker, seen in the Tshokwane area.

Image

Boerie rolls at the old Satara Day Visitor’s area.

Image

These lions killed a buff right outside the Lower Sabie gate during the night which caused mayhem as no-one could get out of the camp in the morning. Rangers eventually managed to get a chain around the carcass and dragged it back to the main road.

My cousin and my brother doing the drying. My cousin then went on to become a game ranger and was one of the head game rangers in Natal until he moved to New Zealand a number of years ago.

That’s definitely a Kruger frying pan...only the best!! =O: =O:

Fantastic , old photos once again Flutterby. Just love seeing the old cars and dress style. Only one thing has not changed.

Please keep them coming.

Absolutely stunning, Flutts!!!!!! O0 O0 O0 O0 O0

I remember it was December and boiling hot (we never went in December again), and my dad had taken a 6-pack of beer for the whole trip - they lasted the first day!!

This problem remains amongst certain tourists to this day! 0*\ In fact, nothing has changed! That Tshokwane tusker may be Tshokwane? aat may have a look? -O-

Kombis Rule!!!

Lots of lovely lions!

Image

A decent-sized tusker.

Image

I was going to say that it looked like people were better-behaved in the old days and gave the animals more space, but I can remember some horrific traffic jams!

Image

A monitor lizard.

Image

A champagne breakfast when it was still allowed. 0'

Image

Is this a young Bateleur? -O-

Image

Can’t have a braai without the Mainstay! -O
