These lions killed a buff right outside the Lower Sabie gate during the night which caused mayhem as no-one could get out of the camp in the morning. Rangers eventually managed to get a chain around the carcass and dragged it back to the main road.
My cousin and my brother doing the drying. My cousin then went on to become a game ranger and was one of the head game rangers in Natal until he moved to New Zealand a number of years ago.

I remember it was December and boiling hot (we never went in December again), and my dad had taken a 6-pack of beer for the whole trip - they lasted the first day!!
This problem remains amongst certain tourists to this day! In fact, nothing has changed! That Tshokwane tusker may be Tshokwane? aat may have a look?
I was going to say that it looked like people were better-behaved in the old days and gave the animals more space, but I can remember some horrific traffic jams!
