I have only turned off to this dam once - April 2014.
I was only car there for over an hour and all I saw was one Jacana - I got the feeling only newbies would take this turnoff
The pan (or pannetjie) was overgrown with reeds and some creeper plant.

Action!
And then some cute visitors!
The piglets were not concerned about the behemoths at all!

On to the main waterhole, and another Openbill stork there...lots around last year?
Nice reflection pic!
Nice pic this one...another visitor!
And then a spoilsport...they are really at every waterhole this drought season...
The buffalo totally ignored him, and a got a bad feeling about this, as having seen bullies at a bar over the years looking for fresh targets jogged my memory!
The silly road that goes in front of the parking, as said earlier, is not nice, and lo and behold his majesty came slowly for us...
No more pics of this, as I drove forward rather smartly, and had forgotten about the winding exit that eventually brings you out quite a way back near where the rhino were. Just made it, and quite a bit of excitement. The family knows that if I am worried it is significant, so were quiet!

These have not directly seen at Renosterpan but on the 2 km stretch from the H3 to Renosterpan - It must have been half way - So I guess these do count as well. We met them on our first full day during our 2013 trip.
This guy we met this year - So fresh from the park - Same landed on a branch only 2 meters from our car so Timon took a lot of pictures.
