I agree! I know it's nature's way but we've interfered so much already, why let them suffer?

Why let them suffer? It makes me suffer too and in order to not make it prolonged, it is better to intervene! I agree with RP and Flutty \O

The above lion does not seem to have only injuries (which in any case are not visible) it seems rather to be dying from hunger and most likely disease.

Would an elephant herd leave a very young elephant in those conditions ( not being able to keep up)?

I think they would eventually, Lis, but they are just like humans, so unpredictable... -O-

It did seem that it could hardly move and the herd cannot stop for more than a limited time \O

From Daily Maverick : http://www.msn.com/en-za/travel/video/t ... vi-AAwiUUk

Why are people so fascinated when they see one animal killing another ?

Maybe , next time I slaughter a sheep , or chickens , or rabbits , I should make a video , and post it on U-Tube , with all the gory details of how the slaughtered animal kicks , rolls his eyes , with blood squirting , until at last he finally stiffens up , before the whole body relaxes and he is dead . Then pull off the skin , and spill out the guts and all ....... And I can show it to the whole world O\/ O\/ O\/

Enough is enough
