What time did you get to see them two?
I had heard that a brown hyena had been seen on a camera trap in the south of the park a couple of years ago - it was a total surprise to the park staff. But I haven't heard of anyone actually seeing one during the day before. Aardwolf can be found, but it's just a case of luck with them. They're so shy that they don't normally come too close to the roads, but I know a few people who have seen them in Addo on other occasions.

The brownie showed up at 8:20am and we had about 5 minutes watching it move across a hillside. The aardwolf popped out onto the road at 12:30pm which for a nocturnal creature is certainly a bit unusual :-?

Saturday was a very wet start to the day. Jackals are often out and about in the rain - more of their food seems to come out. The drops on the tall grass made for an unusual portrait
